The Redline device is a preliminary, non-evidentiary screening device (which means that you can’t rely on results produced for legal evidence) that provides a guide to your breath alcohol content. It does not directly measure blood alcohol concentration. Users should be cautious when acting upon results. Before use, users should also carefully read and ensure that they understand the product’s instructions and warnings contained within the products’ packaging. Consumers have rights and remedies under certain laws. Persons involved in the manufacture, importation, distribution and sale of the Redline product, whether it be branded Redline or with any other brand, shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered in connection with the use of this product, except from liability which cannot be excluded by law.
For a potential distributor, retailer or re-seller of Redlines, the product’s positioning and the above statement should clearly indicate that the risk of legal liability associated with sale of the product has been minimized to levels similar to those of other common or household goods. It follows that fear of assumption of legal risk should not influence any retailers’ decision whether or not to stock the product.
