The issue of BAC continuing to rise for up to 2 hours following consumption of alcohol is the reason why the Redline pack available to the consumer in the general retail environment contains 2 tests.
Redline strongly recommends that even if you deliver an ‘under the limit’ result in your first test, you should reuse the breath bag with the second tester a while later to ensure that your BAC is either remaining static or declining – and NOT rising. Use your discretion when determining how long you should wait between tests.
Alternatively, if you delivered an ‘over the limit’ result in your first test, the second tester allows you to test yourself again after a reasonable period (during which no further alcohol should be consumed).
